oh good heavens
Our preacher has been doing a series on heaven which has been a really encouraging experience. He has dispelled that heaven will be one long church service (which I always wondered about in the back of my mind).
Something I have always hoped heaven would have is a movie of your life, using actual heavenly footage of your life. Mine of course would be a comedy, here are some of the things I definitely would like to see.
Getting hit in the head with a baseball bat by another kid before a game.
Getting hit in the crotch by a throw while I wasn't watching.
There are a couple of bike wrecks I had as a kid I'm sure are very funny.
Getting hit in the face by a 5 gallon bucket covered in cement that was dropped off a roof in Mexico, and split my lip open. (My life sounds kind of like the 3 stooges)
Run through a Chippendales show with a dozen of my closest friends in our BVDs
There are so many more funny moments that I can't think of right now, there are probably even a few more that don't involve me getting injured. Of course, my movie would have a lot of sweet moments in it too, a bumbling confession of love to Christine in the Mr. G's parking lot in Abilene, crying as she sang at our wedding, seeing little Jack for the first time just to name a few. What would be in your heaven movie, because they will have them, I'm convinced.
