Out in La Grange

Is there any better "get fired up" music than ZZ Top? La Grange, Sharp Dressed Man, Legs, Cheap sunglasses, I don't think so. Nothing makes me want to drive really fast down a dirt road in my truck more than La Grange. Just a thought
Anyway I am here alone in the office today, Boss (also known as only other person up here) is on vacation. I've got a lot of surveys to put in, but the Yahoo ZZ Top and friends streaming radio station is going to get me through it.
What are your favorite drive fast songs?

  • I know it's a little ghetto, but anyone that's seen me dance might say that I'm a little ghetto too. My favorite song for rolling down the windows, cranking up the volume, and speeding up is the "Going the Distance" song (not sure if that's the title) by Cake. You know..."he's going the distance, he's going for speed..." Not a whole lot of opportunities to drive fast in Abilene, but that's a great one to play if you do.

  • i always liked kate because she had such good taste. That song- Going the Distance- is one of the better songs of the late nineties.
As for me- the fast driving songs are the usuals:
    GNR- Paradise City
    ACDC- Back in Black
Pearl Jam- State of Love and Trust
    (ok, maybe not usual)
    Pat Green- Southbound 35

ZZ Top is more of a chill band for me...

  • Wow Kate - I didn't realize how ghetto you were. I have to agree with TJ almost exactly. But I must add Whisky River - the best drive fast song in my opinion.

  • I would definitely agree with Whiskey River...wish I could have heard it live last night in Grand Prairie...and of course a good ol classic, Sweet Child of Mine
