concerts are fun
Christine and I went and saw Jack Johnson at the Nokia Theater in Grand Prairie last night. He was awesome and Matt Costa was pretty cool too. Despite being surrounded by drunk teenagers and drunk thirty-somethings hitting on drunk teenagers it was really fun. We clapped and sang and did all the things you do at concerts. I must sincerely thank Christine for getting us the tickets, so I can extend my rather depressing list of concerts attended. It has gotten better over the last couple of years. Here is the list in chronological order.
1. Jars of Clay - Six Flags (jr. high)
2. George Strait Music Festival - Texas Stadium (high school)
3. Pat Green - Billy Bob's, Abilene Civic Center, Abilene Expo Center (college)
4. Charlie Robison, Robert Earl Keen - Sundance Square (college)
5. TJ McCloud and Stephen Speaks - Paramount Abilene (college)
6. Third Day (twice) at Prestonwood Baptist Church (college)
7. Norah Jones - Smirnoff (old married guy)
8. Jack Johnson - Nokia (old married guy)
That list is not as bad as it was in my head, but it is missing a few must sees. Anyway, pointless post. Just thought I would share.
